Polypropylene Strapping
Polypropylene Strapping
Polypropylene Strapping is the most commonly used and least expensive of all strapping materials. Its light and easy to apply and recycle. Polypropylene Strapping characteristics include high elongation and recovery, but low retained tension.
Polypropylene Strappling is avaliable in both manual and machine grade and can be sealed with buckles, seals, heat seals or friction welds.
Polypropylene Strapping is an excellent choice for light duty palletizing, unitizing, carton closing and bundling. It is used in all semi-automatic strapping machines.
Comes in a range of sizes from 9mm Machine Strapping to 16mm Polypropylene Strapping.
Steel Strapping
Steel Strapping is the strongest of all strapping materials. It is recommended where high strength is necessary, low elongation is important and where the product is extremely sharp or hot. Steel strapping is sealed using snap on seals and lap over seals. Comes in 2 different styles, Ribbon Would which is wound once and Oscillation wound which is wound on top of each other again and again. Sizes start at 13mm and go upto 32mm in the ribbon wound, which is the more popular of the two.
Extruded Polyester Strapping
Extruded Polyester Strapping is the most rigid of all strapping materials. Polyester is nick resistant and can be sealed with seals, heat or friction welds. Polyester offers the greatest strength and highest retained tension of all plastic strapping, it is frequently used on heavy duty loads that need high initial tension along with high retained tension during handling and storage.
