Fancy a Chair made from Cardboard Boxes?

5th August, 2009

Flicking through the internet keeping up to date with industry happenings, we came across this article on the Washington Post website.

Apparently in Washington every year there is a competition to build furniture out of cardboard, using only cardboard and glue. The competition is now in it’s 4th year and attracts entries both young and old.

With the ever growing interest in green-products in seemed to us that this may be the start of something big in the future. So don’t through out your old cardboard boxes just yet, you may be able to make a business out them making furniture.

The winning chair title ‘Hole on Hole’, was constructed from woven cardboard and did not use glue.
